Facing troubles? There is always a way out of trouble. The only problem is that, when we find ourselves in that specific situation, we do not want to look at all the options available to us. The moment we encounter problems, we tend to turn our back on God and our significant other. In doing so, you are setting yourself up as an open door for the enemy to come and scatter the walls you have built around your Christ-centred relationship.
Be dedicated to make it Work
Life in itself is never seen as a journey of roses and peaches. There will be obstacles, trials and tribulations. However, what makes you triumph is how you handle the situation which will enable you to prepare for your next storm. If you carefully look at things without adding the element of Christianity, you can see that as individuals we all have our flaws and in a relationship you are dealing with two flaws at the same time. You are dealing with your own baggage, but you are also meant to look at the other person and help them with theirs. Looking at hardship, you can’t expect two people who are not ready to fully dedicate themselves to each other to make something work. For a ship to move forward or make progress there has to be co-operation. One party has to put their pride aside and ensure they are fully dedicated to the other person and vice versa.
Whenever you are in a hard and tough place, you need to remember that God is with you. I strongly believe in everything working out for our good. God has enabled us to have His Spirit inside of us; this should be enough for you to feel like a conqueror. I have noticed that whenever you go through a challenge or obstacle with your significant other, it knits you together in one way or the other. In other words, conflicts or struggles draw you closer to one another. You have to bring your thoughts together for your process to have an effective outcome ( please read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
Depend on God
Many times we do not fully depend on God, but we depend on our own strength and that is where we go wrong. Whenever two people are in a relationship I believe God has brought you together for a purpose if you have truly sought God in your relationship. There is always an assignment He wants the both of you to complete or share. The journey may not always seem perfect, but your reward is beyond what you can think or imagine. I’ve heard couples say that the toughest time of their life was the best time of their life, because during these hardships they learnt to fully depend on God. That is why it is important to have someone who is equally yoked and who can fully understand how to surrender all to God, even though you are in the battle field.
God explains to Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV how His power is made perfect in our weakness. As a Christian, the only thing that makes us different is the way we handle our situation. As a woman in Christ, you are meant to roll your burden unto Christ (Psalm 55:22 NIV). There is no greater beneficial sacrifice than giving it all to God. We are blessed to know that without a test there is no testimony and during these times of trials it the armour of Christ we should wear.
