When was the last time you spoke positively of yourself? When was the last time you said to yourself “Hey girl, you are doing a great job! You’ll definitely make it in life!” Don’t you know that you are the only person that can break or make you? If you say “I can’t”, guess what? You’re right. If you say it’s impossible, it will indeed be impossible for YOU.
At times we can be so focused on where we want to be, that we overlook where we are. I know we all want the best, but we shouldn’t forget to be content with where we are right now. I’m not saying you shouldn’t progress in life; you should, my dear. But don’t be too hard on yourself! You are still a work in progress. You will never be happy in life if you are always longing for the next season.
What I came to realise is that consistency, a positive mindset, and patience are the keys to success. You know, big things always have small beginnings. The people behind successes all went through hardships but never gave up. They knew that success isn’t something that happens overnight, but it comes with consistency, a positive mindset and patience. They knew that the process would be hard and slow, but they also knew that quitting wouldn’t speed it up. They knew that nothing could stop them apart from themselves. They knew that both a negative and a positive mindset bears its fruits in the future. So they decided to feed themselves with positive thoughts!

I want to encourage you to always believe in yourself and trust in God. Speak positively about yourself and be content with what you are doing right now. Stand before the mirror every day and say; I am God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). I am the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13). I am prosperous (3 John 1:2). I will finish everything that I started successfully (Philippians 1:6). Greater is HE that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). God has an amazing plan for me, beyond my imagination (Isaiah 55:9). Victory is mine (Romans 8:37). I am God’s own (Isaiah 43:1). The Lord is my security, He will keep me in the right path (Proverbs 3:26). I have a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10). Everything is working for my good (Romans 8:28). I am qualified for everything I will do (Jeremiah 1:6-8).
Trust in God and never give up, for you have already sacrificed too much for you not to enjoy the fruits of your dream. I know it’s easier said than done, but try it consistently and see your mind responding and motivating you to do more! “Work hard and became a leader; be lazy and become a slave.” (Proverbs 12:24, NLT). Girl.. I’m excited about your future!
