The importance of Womanhood, Self-worth and the Love of God!

“Now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.” – I Corinthians 13:3 (NIV)

The power of love is one of the most incredibly words in the Bible! Especially when it comes to Womanhood, we were made to love, rejoice and be glad in the Lord!

One of my favourite scriptures explaining the joy of womanhood is about Miriam the prophetess “the sister of Aaron”. God uses Moses, Miriam and Aaron to deliver the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land in Canaan! When they miraculously crossed the Red Sea on dry ground and seeing the Egyptian army overthrown in the sea.  Exodus 15:20-21 explains: “Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And Miriam answered them:

‘’ Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!”

You see how it mentioned how Miriam the prophetess gathered all women and rejoiced in the goodness of the Lord? It just proves that as sisters we are more than powerful when it comes to the love we have for the Lord!

As young woman of Christ it is really important to make sure that we eat, breathe and sleep in love; however, we should not forget to be mindful of our actions on a daily basis. We need to get in the habit to seek after the love God has invested in us. In Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV) it says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take and give you a heart of flesh. This Scripture can help you develop the tender heart Christ wants us to have as women.

Don’t get me wrong at all. There are days when you can feel like you are not capable of loving fellow brethren and sisters just the way Christ did, because we deal with so many emotions and changes in life!

We grow from being a young girl to becoming a full grown woman, which comes with a lot of responsibilities and lessons. We are all moving through our own journeys. But remember that in Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) it says “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways.” Is that not powerful? It just simply states that all we have to do is trust Him, for his ways are as the heavens higher than the earth.

Let’s start to value ourselves and be open-minded and honest with people around us. Don’t feel afraid to show your inner beauty as this makes it easier for your beauty to shine out.

Saying daily prayers, even if they’re short, has high impacts on the start and ending of your day! Pray more often! Pray for love! Pray for your fellow sisters in the Lord! Pray for peace and understanding! Pray for yourself and most importantly Pray for your womanhood as it is such a blessing to be a woman in the Lord!

God bless,
