You Reap What You Sow: Entering Marriage with a Positive Mindset

As a married woman, I tend to think positively about almost everything. Positive energy attracts good things most of the time. The same goes for your way of thinking, behaving, speaking and surely also your actions. When you are about to enter into marriage, you get excited and think about all the good things you will do or expect in the marriage. We make some sort of a plan, or better yet, a fantasy in our minds as to how it should be like. Which is good, because who wants to start a marriage negative minded?

However, when one enters the marriage with an over-positive mindset, the experiences of married life don’t always align with the expectations. Since you’re a christian wife you will still be happy with what you have, but secretly, you’ll fight hard to make your fantasy become reality. There needs to be a balance. The thing about having a positive mindset in marriage is that you fully know that things can go wrong at times, but your good energy overshadows the bad energy. In marriage, you will experience things you wish did not happen. You will go through hardship. You will get hurt. But you should never every allow any of that to break you.QuoteLet’s read Ephesians 4:23‭-‬27And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil (KJV). Although the word positive is not explicitly mentioned, this Scripture speaks of being renewed in the spirit. If you renew yourself and follow Christ, you are automatically positive because the Lord we serve is righteous. Even though we are not perfect and shall never be, we can get closer to Christ by living with a positive spirit.

Before you knew God and before you became a Christian, you did not know how to renew your spirit. Yes maybe you did good but you had no Christ living in you, so you could not truly differentiate between bad or good. As matthew 7:17‭-‬18 reads; even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit (KJV). These were the words of Jesus. So it is clear that a person who does good and has a positive mind and also puts it into action, will produce good things. You reap what you sow. So my dear (future) wife, what are you sowing? Negative or positive vibes?

Are you not the purpose wife? Start renewing your mind! The job will be yours. The relationship will be a healthy one. You will bear children. Your finances will increase. Every good thing in your marriage shall come to pass. Keep on being positive not only in speaking but also in your heartBe pure in the heart and let your positive energy overshadow the bad always.

God bless,
